Sylvain Subervie Accepts the Invitation to the KITE Foundation: Sylvain Subervie is happy to participate in the humanitarian action in favor of the Project KITE Foundation, which was created to provide a platform for the world’s youth to pursue their dreams by equipping them with the skills and training needed to succeed in their professional endeavors. In addition, Subervie will make a donation to La Maison D’Aina to support their construction and ironwork-training workshop for teenagers. This school will become a well of human resources, including for Subervie, who will hire students from Maison d’Aina to finalize his 1000 Warriors Shields, Army of Peace, for the future Peace emblem around the world. These successive donations will also allow young Malagasy to obtain qualifications that will enable them to find employment in the iron field.
For 21 years, Madagascar has been the host country for artist Sylvain Subervie. He sends the world a beautiful message of the tenacity to succeed through his use of iron, the material he used to create his enchanting and globally recognized installation, Shoal of Fish. Recently established at The 27.7 Art & Design Gallery in Miami’s Design District, Subervie responds to the invitation of the Project KITE Foundation in the effort to build a socio-cultural exchange between the capital of Antananarivo, Madagascar and the city of Miami. The success of this program is founded in the proverb: “Give a child a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a child to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.”
